Reiki is a subtle energy therapy, commonly practiced by light touch either gently on the body, or slightly above it. Practitioners act as conduits who channel higher, universal energy to their clients to help bring them into a state of balance. This can result in feelings of deep relaxation, greater energy levels and improved overall health.
The Reiki belief system and that of the practitioner is that they don’t cause the healing, nor are they the source of that healing energy; they’re a channel for the energy.
